Buyer/Planner

Kranz Inc, a leading distributor of Janitorial Supplies is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join the team in Racine, WI.

 

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain supplier relationships, identify and develop new suppliers with the ultimate goal of providing the best overall value to company’s internal and external customers.
  • Negotiate prices and supply commitments.
  • Maintain inventory service levels, conduct inventory analysis, and verify accuracy of costs, lead times, and revisions.
  • Utilize our ERP/MRP system to order and schedule purchases based on inventory planning recommendations to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Track confirmations/deliveries and expedite deliveries as necessary.  
  • Handle and reconcile receiving and invoice issues.
  • Work with the Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse to resolve receiving, quality, and vendor return problems.
  • Complete reports and special projects.
  • Working with manufacturers, distributors and our sales team to request, prepare, and provide bid quotes or contract pricing in response to customer requests. 
  • Defining correct products, cross-referencing items and providing any additional information required to meet required bid specifications.
  • Coordinating all aspects of each bid quote request.
  • Tracking and maintaining pricing files
  • Preparing bid analyses as needed
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for academic degrees or industry certifications. CPIM or CPM certifications are desirable.
  • 1 to 3 years Purchasing / Inventory Management experience with technical aptitude.
  • Industrial Distribution Inventory Management background a plus.
  • Proficiency in math and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with the ability to generate and maintain reporting requirements.
  • Extremely organized, detailed oriented, and able to manage time to satisfy competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Productive in a fast-paced team environment.

Yaskawa is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Engineer at our 107,000 square foot state-of- the-art facility located Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The Strategic Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for providing technical engineering expertise and project leadership to the Supply Chain Management Team. The Supply Chain Engineer will develop the supply base to meet specification, quality, cycle time, inventory, delivery and cost objectives. As the SCM liaison for all new product introductions at Oak Creek, WI and Buffalo Grove, IL facilities, this role will manage resourcing projects ensuring solution is competitive both technically and commercially and within project timelines. Specifically, this position will:
 
  • Work with Engineering, Product Management, and Finance to establish initial cost targets, identification of gaps and offers alternatives to meet target cost objectives prior to new product launch.
  • Review supplier requests for design changes, evaluating the impact of changes on product design.
  • Provide technical expertise and play a project management role in major resourcing projects impacting product line redesigns.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives including cost reductions, process improvements, design changes, component substitutions, sucpplier changes and labor savings.
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering 7-10 years combined experience in engineering and purchasing/sourcing.   Previous engineering experience with mechanical fabrication processes and electrical components is required.  Strong computer skills, including SAP and AutoCAD are necessary.

HEV Program Master Scheduler

Location: Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in sales order management, scheduling, planning, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.  Knowledge of flow and Lean processes a plus.  APICS CPIM certification and experience with JDE One World ERP system desired, but not required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Audit and Maintain Item master data including planning parameters, and various other fields.
  • Audit BOMS and Routings for accuracy against released engineering.
  • Maintain production schedule in the JDE ERP system.
  • Process pick slips for unit and spares shipments.  Ensure accuracy of shipment documentation.
  • Enter and Maintain sales orders, warranty orders, repair orders, etc.
  • Ensure production material replenishment strategies support customer demand (MRP, Kanban, Reorder-Point) Revise strategies as deemed necessary to improve flow and reduce inventory.
  • Coordinate cycle counts of inventory and research causes of variance to improve accuracy.
  • Run integrity reports from JDE ERP system to identify and resolve transactional problems.
  • Coordinate returned goods with the customer and process returns, credits, replacements, etc.
